About the artist
Dr. Kathryn Ko is a neurosurgeon at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn who grew up on Oahu and trained at Mount Sinai. She also holds an MFA in representational painting and drawing, and her artwork often deals with medicine and surgery. She was the American Medical Women's Association's first Artist in Residence.
